My hair journey

My behind the scene!

Welcome back to my blog, if you're just visiting  us for the first time, I'll love to give a little intro on what the blog is all about, this blog is specifically for healthy living, healthy lifestyle, healthy eating habits, Mental health,Caring is sharing, kindly share link, visit us also on our social media handles with the health_blogger2, once again welcome!

I had promise to give a review about my 3months hair journey challenge inspired by my hair coach, I was super proud of myself and the ability to be consistent with my hair growth process, trust me it has not been easy at all, those who know me personally know how I often complain about stunted growth I had already concluded that my hair was not growing anymore! Hang on before we start I’ll love to state here that I’m not an hair blogger, I blog about healthy living and guess what our hair is also part of our body so why not talk about our hair?  We need to understand that what we eat also contributes to our hair growth, this would be a story for another day!  In the next three Saturdays I'll be taking us through my hair journey you sure don’t want to miss the process, I’ll be discussing the following
Protective hair styles (the type of hair I used during my 3 months challenge)
Procedures to wash your hair effectively
How to detangle your hair without loosing much hair
How I was able to minimize the use of comb
Hair products used during the challenge
Special care routine (tea rinse, rice water)

Protective hair styles:  these are hair styles made to prevent hair shredding, retain hair length, increase growth. I’m sure most of us would have heard from some folks that only threading grows the hair, this is totally not true, what threading the hair does is to keep the stretched
A protective hair styles does the following to your hair
Reduces hair manipulation
Keeps the hair intact
Reduces splitting and hair breakage
If you take down your protective hairstyle and you loose a lot of hair, it could be that you’re doing it the wrong way, a protective styling is to be kept within the period of 2weeks to 6weeks old before pulling down. Within this period, you are expected to wash your hair.
Do you also know that there are different types of hair types? Its of no news that we must have come across the following 4C 3C BC and the likes it’s mandatory that we know our hair types as it would enable us understand what works better for our hair.
Protective style could be any of the following
Conrowns
Havanna twist
Two strand twist
Hair buns

Personally I used double strand twist and stretches In between, during this period I had washed my hair at least once every two weeks.
This would be all for today, do you have a protective style you use? Do you know your hair type? Lets meet at the comment section
